That’s OK!

there are a couple of things you can do.
1. if you have a web developer, go grab him and point him or her in this direction.
2. send us a support ticket for assistance

We are also very happy to work directly with any developer regarding customising the widget and get it working on your website.

Don’t stress!

We will be adding to the list as time goes by, based on many factors including beta tester registrations and event submissions from local areas.

To help get your location included in the list, register as an Event Widget Beta tester and let us know your location and we will keep you in touch.

You can also help out by spreading the word about our website and service in your local area by asking your friends, venue operators and event people in the area to submit any events they have on in the future. – It’s FREE!

Thanks,

We will be developing a complete library of Widget styles based on user feedback,
why not register as an Event Widget Beta tester and provide us with your requirements.

We will prioritise widget style development on user feedback

This we can do!

But for now, during our beta testing program, we will not be limiting events by default to any particular type.

if you have your heart set on becoming a beta tester but only want to display local events of a particular type, please register and let us know so we can set you up.

Highly unlikely,

however that being said, remember you are signing up for a beta “testing” program.
with an understanding that there is no warranty or guarantee under our full terms and conditions (found here)

We recommend that you test the widget on a development page or similar system before implementing it on your live public website.

although you might experience some issues, you should be able to just remove and delete the code you pasted and everything should go back to normal.

if you are not sure or still concerned, either go grab your web developer or contact us via our support form, we would be only too happy to complete further testing on our systems simulating your own website environment and working with you and/or your web developer to get the widget up and running.

Please use the Support Ticket form to let us know about any issues and problem you are experience so we can work with you to get it all sorted asap.

There are a couple of possible common reasons for the widget not working

Your EventWidgetID is associated with the domain you registered. if you have not published the widget on the correct domain the widget won’t work.

You have just used the code on this widget builder page without entering your EventWidgetID? Again without entering your EventWidgetID, the widget won’t work.

There are also possible compatibility issues with your website, these could be a huge range of things, please use our support ticket form so we can check it out for you.

By default during the beta testing program the Event Widget events are not linked to venues.

but if you register as a beta tester and let us know your requirements, we will get in touch and build a widget just for you.

Our goal is to provide a free public widget!

We may in the future develop some really cool advanced features for the widget and offer these features as an optional paid service.

Our intentions is to always maintain a free version of the Event Widget.

How long will the beta testing program be for?

The beta testing program is based on numbers, not a strict time frame.

We will keep everybody in touch and up to date whats going on!

When the beta testing is over, we will go into final development where beta testing registration will be closed.

all pre-registered beta tester (including those that are not using the widget for any reason) will still be able to enjoy the continued use and support.

before final public release, we will provide support to everybody to migrate to the new bright and shiny widget. Currently, we plan the migration to be silent and you most likely won’t even need to do anything – but we will give you a heads up before it happens.

You can publish as many widgets as you like on a single domain using your EventWidgetID.

You may experience problems and issues if you publish the widget more than once on any single page – the widget is not designed to do this.

as always, if you have your heart set to having more than one widget on a single page, please use our support ticket form.
