Brandon Heritage Precinct Open Day

Brandon Heritage Precinct Open Day

Come along and join the Burdekin Artisans Community Association for a lovely morning and afternoon tea and view the unique handmade art and craft made by local Burdekin Artisans.

Watch demonstrations of:

  • Painting
  • Crocheting with fabric
  • Hebel carving
  • Stitchery
  • Wire work
  • Beading
  • And much more

Burdekin Machinery Preservationists Inc. will also be at the Open Day and would like to invite you to come and see their working vintage machinery.

  • The Blacksmith shop will be open and operating
  • The John Tait Steam gallery will have steam up
  • The Ruston Hornsby & the Fielding 38HP Diesel will be started and running
  • Other engines and machinery, either static or running will be on display
  • Restoration in progress of engines from Kalamia and Inkerman Mill.
  • Traction Engine trailer rides

Admission is $2.  There will also be a sausage sizzle lunch
