It’s Cosmic Psychos’ 40th anniversary and they are celebrating it the best way they know how – with a big bloody tour of Australia. Joining them will be Seattle hardcore band ZEKE. It’s been over 20 years since we last saw Zeke in Australia, so this is not a tour to miss.
Cosmic Psychos have blazed a trail around the world for 40 years now, spreading their Australian punk rock wherever they go. Theirs is a union that has lasted three times longer than most marriages and, to date, the band have released 10 studio albums, worked with super producer Butch Vig, are best mates with Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam and regular tour buddies with L7. Sticking to their original, rough Australian punk roots, Cosmic Psychos continue to be one of the most quintessential rock bands to have come out of Oz.
As for ZEKE – formed in 1993, the hardcore heavyweights have spent their careers touring relentlessly. From small bars to stadiums, ZEKE have paired up with anyone that will have them, playing as much as they possibly can. The band have released six records of American hardcore, classic rock and punk nihilism. It’s about time they returned to Australia, and what better combination than to be arm in arm with Cosmic Psychos.
