‘Creative Interpretation’ by Mackay Art Society
The Mackay Art Society held their annual art exhibition from 17-26 March this year, with Judge Peter Lawson officiating. This month’s exhibition shows the award winners as well as many pieces from the small painting section. These artworks on display show the rich calibre of art produced by members of the Mackay Art Society.
The Mackay region is limited in the physical locations that arts-based workshops and activities can be held – the Mackay Art Society provides this space and opportunity to the local Mackay community. The society is open for members to undertake activities three days a week, delivers monthly weekend workshops, has an art exhibition and two art fairs each year.
Artworks are for sale (unless otherwise stated on label). All sale enquiries can be directed to phone 0459 245 036.
This exhibition is available for viewing in the Lagoons Gallery within the Botanic Gardens Café between Wednesday April 26 to Sunday May 28 (closed Mondays, Tuesdays and public holidays).
Interested people are welcome to visit the group’s art venue at 2 Snow Wright Court in Beaconsfield on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and Wednesday evenings. A gallery of members Art is also available for viewing.
