As we gather under the shadow of the Autumn Equinox, and the Aries New Moon, you are invited to soften into the gentleness that Autumn energy provides. Autumn gives us a little invitation to move a little slower, a little more gently, and a little more intuitively.
~How will it work?
The space will open with a centering meditation. We will then move through some gentle, calming and nourishing breathwork.
Next we will move through a slow, grounding and nourishing combined yin and restorative yoga practice. Both of these yoga styles are very slow and gentle. Poses are held between 3-15 minutes and are completed supported by props ~ so juicy!
We will close the practice with a restoring and healing Yoga Nidra, which is the yogic version of sleep.
This is the most divine and potent way to restore your nervous system.
~Why join Release & Rest?
In our fast-paced, overly connected modern world, our nervous systems are often overworked and undernourished. It is easy to be swept up in what is happening around us, and allow other energies to permeate our own.
Now more than ever it is important to maintain your energetic boundaries, raise your energetic vibration and nourish your nervous system.
We all have what is known as our sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system. Our sympathetic nervous system is where we reside most of the time. This is our fight-or-flight state. In our fast-paced world, it is easy for us to feel like we always need to be ‘switched on’, ready for whatever is thrown at us next. While this has its place and its benefits, it is unsustainable for us to reside in the place for long periods of time. Living in this way is a one-way ticket to burn out, adrenal fatigue, and many other health issues.
On the other hand, our parasympathetic nervous system is our rest and digest state. This is when our body can rest, repair and rebalance. It is important for us to prioritize switching on our parasympathetic nervous system in order to cultivate homeostasis, to use it as a preventative measure to ward off dis-ease in our body, and to live a happy, healthier and more balanced life.
Join Bec for this 60 minute deep rest practice designed to nourish, restore and rejuvenate your mind, body and soul. The practice will comprise components of meditation, breathwork, and restorative yoga poses, that will feel like a massage for your mind, body and soul.
This practice is designed to drop you deep into your parasympathetic nervous system, leaving you feeling like you are floating on a cloud while filling your cup for the month ahead.
