One of Australia’s most iconic voices, XAVIER RUDD is heading to WA for a special performance under the stars in the courtyard of the historic Fremantle Prison.
Looking back over Xavier Rudd’s stunning career, one could easily ask what is possibly left to achieve. One of Australian music’s all-time greats, he has earned accolades of every kind, Gold and Platinum certification, multiple ARIA nominations, an APRA music industry award, and legions of fans who love him with an inextinguishable passion. Yet, with each new release, Xavier Rudd continues to surpass expectation and produce his finest work to date.
Beginning his career with 2002’s definitive To Let, Xavier Rudd put his message out into the world and was answered immediately. Fans from all over the globe were drawn to the distinctly Australian-looking musician, activist and surfer. It was the start of a journey that would span over 20 years (and counting); taking Xavier to almost every continent on the planet. There are no borders that apply to Xavier Rudd’s music.
The past year and a half has been highly eventful for Xavier, with the release of his critically acclaimed 10th studio album, Jan Jun Moon. He also just wrapped up two European tours, having made stops at Glastonbury, Pinkpop and Rock Werchter festivals along the way. He was recently awarded the Australasian Performing Right Association Award (APRA Award) for Most Performed Blues & Roots Work for his stunning single ‘We Deserve To Dream’, before also taking out the 2023 Environmental Music Prize. Xavier won the publicly voted award for his 2021 single ‘Stoney Creek’, over entries from the likes of Tash Sultana, Midnight Oil, Ziggy Alberts and more.
Today, Xavier’s relentless upward arc is among the most astounding success stories of our time. Countless acts have come and gone like fireworks as his campfire steadily grows.
