Groundwater Country Music Festival returns to Broadbeach for three days of free live music steps from the golden beaches of the Gold Coast.
One of Australia’s most unique festival settings, Groundwater CMF has built a reputation as a standout on the Australian festival calendar, bringing together close to 60 artists and 135 shows across three days of country music celebration. The name Groundwater draws from the Aboriginal people’s close spiritual connection to the land, as well as the farming community’s reliance on groundwater for survival. At its heart, this is a festival built on community, brought together by a shared love of country music.
The 2026 lineup is headlined by Kasey Chambers, The Wolfe Brothers and Beccy Cole, with Kaylee Bell, James Blundell, Lane Pittman, Kingswood, Tyla Rodrigues, Henry Wagons, Andrew Swift, Hayley Jensen, Pete Denahy & The Surreal McCoys, Jake Penrod, Sweet Talk, Ruth Moody, Denvah, Austin Mackay, Sterling Drake, Josh Stumpf, 2026 Starmaker Jarrad Wrigley, Midnight Chicken, Dear Tommie, Michael Honan, Taurean Thompson’s Outlaw Country Sessions, Josie, Brewn, RB Brothers and many more still to be announced.
Beyond the main stages, the festival offers DJ Colonel’s Country Music Cottage, Bluegrass Breakfast with Huxley & Friel, the Country Calling Showcase and Beachside Line Dancing with Chris Watson.
